Song Details and Information
‘homegrown’ is all about growing bigger than our insecurities as we work towards the things we want most in life. The opening lyrics in ‘homegrown’ perfectly capture the frustration of feeling like we’re in our own way:

‘I learned to bury it deep, grounded from the get-go,
Got wings that go flap like a dodo,
Dreaming of taking off, maybe I break through the ozone,
For years I built my rocket, and I’m waiting for the launch codes’.

The track recounts the struggle to pursue what we love, to face our fears and to accept that we are our own worst critic. Against all odds however, it ends on a positive, uplifting note.

‘I’m homegrown to play it small, but one day I’ll win big’

‘homegrown’ is the first of a string of singles releasing in 2022. The next, ‘finally’ will be releasing on April 8th.
