daena – Oversharing

Nashville-based, queer indie pop/rock artist daena returns for the summer with her new single “OverSharing”! Stacked with crunchy electric guitars, an über-hooky chorus melody and punchy live drums, it’s as if “Celebrity Skin” by Hole had a baby with Garbage and Olivia Rodrigo. It’s a slight departure from daena’s earlier synth pop sound, but her signature tongue-in-cheek pop lyrics and a fun vocal full of attitude + grit thread it all together.
daena’s next singles are set to release later this summer and fall, leading up to her 90s pop/rock inspired full-length record in early 2023.
daena’s songs have been placed on Spotify’s “Fresh Finds” and “Night Pop” editorial playlists, and featured on iHeart Radio, Nashville’s Lightning 100 and Breaking Sound Radio. She regularly performs at the legendary Bluebird Cafe, as well as local shows like Musician’s Corner, Sevier Park Fest, Light the Nations and Popoff Nashville. Her single “Close Isn’t Enough” has organically amassed over 770k on Spotify, and she’s racked up over 26k TikTok followers to boot.
