This track is a synth-pop ballad, that then grows into this soaring, multi-textured anthem of heartbreak and longing. To me, it captures that unique feeling you get when you hear that your ex has settled down with a new partner, and is now ‘painting houses’. Even though you’ve technically moved on, you’d rather not have heard about it. I’m really proud of this song, and think it’s really representative of the type of music I want to be putting out in the future.
