Gentle Boy is an exploration of home and being enough. It is a song about grief and loss, bubbling with the frustration of being let down by people and a system that are meant to care. It’s about a broken system that fails thousands of people every day.

I wrote this song after losing a friend to suicide. They were meant to be being looked after by a mental health hospital and I was so angry that someone could die this way when they were meant to be somewhere safe.
